At Catlin, we don’t just build homes, we build spaces that people live in, grow in, and take pride in. Every project we take on is approached with care, intention, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
We’re always looking for thoughtful, skilled individuals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a team that values quality over shortcuts.
Working at Catlin means being part of a team that genuinely cares about the work we do and how we do it. We approach every project with a high level of attention to detail—and we expect the same from everyone on our team.
We keep our project volume focused so we can maintain a high standard across every build. That means you’re not rushed from job to job, you have the time and support to do your work properly.
We believe in clear communication, mutual respect, and creating an environment where people take ownership of their role and take pride in the final result.
We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality craftsmanship. Whether you’re working on-site or supporting the project behind the scenes, your role matters—and your work contributes directly to the finished product.
You’ll be a strong fit if you:
Our projects are primarily based in Burlington and the surrounding areas, including Oakville, Hamilton, and Ancaster. We work on custom homes, additions, and full-home renovations. Each one requiring a high level of coordination and attention to detail.
We operate as a design-build firm, which means our team works closely together from start to finish. This creates a more collaborative environment and a clearer path from design to construction.
We value people who want to improve and grow in their craft. At Catlin, you’ll have the opportunity to work on well-designed, high-quality projects that challenge you to think, problem-solve, and refine your skills.
We support ongoing development through hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to all phases of the building process.

At Catlin, we build custom homes and renovations with a strong focus on quality, detail, and a well-managed process. We’re looking for an experienced Red Seal Carpenter / Journeyman to join our team and contribute to projects that are thoughtfully executed from start to finish.
Working closely with the Site Supervisor and Project Manager, you’ll play a key role on site, supporting progress across all phases of construction, from structural work through to final finishes.
This is a hands-on position for a carpenter who takes pride in their craft and understands the importance of precision and consistency.
You’ll be responsible for executing a range of carpentry tasks with care and accuracy, working from plans, and ensuring each stage of the build meets both design intent and construction standards. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe site is an important part of how we work, as is staying aligned with timelines and project expectations.
You’ll also work closely with the broader team and trades, helping maintain a steady workflow and contributing to a positive, professional job site.
We’re looking for someone with 5–10 years of post-apprenticeship residential carpentry experience who is confident working across multiple stages of construction.
Beyond technical ability, this role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to think ahead. You take ownership of your work, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and approach challenges with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
You’re also someone who leads by example—supporting apprentices on site and contributing to a consistent standard of craftsmanship across the team.
Our projects include custom homes and full-scale renovations, where quality and execution matter at every stage. From framing and structural work to detailed interior and exterior finishes, you’ll be part of delivering spaces that are built to last and thoughtfully put together.
We provide a steady pipeline of well-planned projects and a team environment that values professionalism, communication, and doing things properly.
This is a full-time position, with compensation ranging from $33–$35 per hour based on experience, structured around an 8.5-hour workday, five days per week.
You’ll have the opportunity to continue developing your skills while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.
If you’re an experienced carpenter or project manager looking to be part of a team that values quality and takes pride in its work, we’d like to hear from you.
Please send your resume (and any relevant project photos, if available) to apply.
